Workers’ Compensation Psychiatric Evaluation in Kansas City

Workers’ compensation psychiatric evaluations at KC Psychiatry & Primary Care are designed for cases where mental health symptoms, workplace stress, trauma exposure, or functional impairment may be connected to a work-related injury or event. Dr. Asif Uddin provides psychiatric evaluation and documentation support for adults in Kansas City, Kansas, Missouri, and surrounding communities.

A workers’ compensation psychiatric evaluation may be appropriate when a patient is experiencing anxiety, depression, panic symptoms, post-traumatic stress symptoms, sleep disruption, irritability, cognitive difficulty, emotional distress, or reduced functioning after a workplace incident. These evaluations can also help clarify how psychiatric symptoms affect work capacity, treatment needs, restrictions, and ongoing care planning.

During the evaluation, Dr. Uddin reviews the patient’s symptoms, psychiatric history, medical history, occupational history, treatment history, medications, timeline of the workplace event, and current functional limitations. When records are available, he may also review relevant medical documentation, prior evaluations, job-duty information, and treatment notes.

The goal is to provide a careful psychiatric assessment that connects clinical findings with practical treatment and work-related questions. Depending on the case, the evaluation may address diagnosis, symptom severity, medication considerations, treatment recommendations, return-to-work concerns, functional capacity, and whether additional psychiatric care is needed.

For cases requiring broader legal or administrative review, Dr. Uddin also provides independent medical evaluation services and expert witness testimony. Patients or referring parties who need a general clinical review outside the workers’ compensation context may be better served by a psychiatric evaluation.

KC Psychiatry & Primary Care does not accept insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, federal, or commercial insurance plans. Workers’ compensation evaluations may involve case-specific payment arrangements, records review, documentation time, and scheduling requirements. Pricing and scope are reviewed before the appointment is confirmed.

Appointments are available for adults in Kansas and Missouri. Some portions of care or follow-up may be available through telemedicine psychiatry services when clinically and administratively appropriate. To request scheduling or case review, visit the schedule appointment page.

Additional charges may apply for records review, report preparation, extended evaluation time, administrative forms, follow-up appointments, legal correspondence, deposition preparation, deposition attendance, or testimony-related services. Pricing depends on the scope of the workers’ compensation case and is reviewed before services are scheduled.
