Dr. Asif Uddin is a board-certified psychiatrist recognized by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Comprehensive Clinical Interview

Each FAA psychiatric evaluation includes an in-depth clinical interview focused on the individual’s mental health history, current functioning, treatment history, and aviation-related concerns. The interview may include review of:

• Psychiatric, psychosocial, and developmental history
• Academic and occupational performance
• Aviation background and flight experience, when applicable
• Legal history and relevant administrative history
• Substance use history, including treatment or recovery when relevant
• General medical history and current medication use
• Sleep, mood, anxiety, attention, behavior, and functional status

The interview also includes a formal mental status examination, in which Dr. Uddin observes and documents current cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and functional presentation at the time of the evaluation.

Following the assessment, Dr. Uddin provides an integrated report based on the clinical interview, records reviewed, mental status findings, and referral questions. The report may include:

• Clinical findings and behavioral observations
• Diagnostic impressions, if applicable
• Professional opinion regarding psychiatric and functional status
• Discussion of treatment history, medication considerations, and clinical stability when relevant
• Recommendations for treatment, medication management, therapy, counseling, rehabilitation, monitoring, or follow-up when appropriate
